Biography

Catherine Fallon first trained in chemical engineering (UCL-B)  and obtained a MSc degree in Biochemical Engineering (MIT ¿ USA). After several years in the industry and in the European Commission, she earned her PhD in Political Sciences and invested the field of ¿Science, Technology and Society¿ by doing research in the social and political aspects of technological development (such as gouvernementality of genetic tests) and risk governance (in emergency planning), and policy analysis (in HER sector). She is Professor in Public Administration and Policy Evaluation at the Université de Liège (Belgium). She heads the SPIRAL research center at ULiege (www.spiral.ulg.ac.be)
