Biography

Benjamin Jan joined the EU Legal Studies institute as a PhD student in October 2019. Previously, he worked there as a teaching assistant in EU substantive law and EU law and technological innovation (Prof. P. Van Cleynenbreugel).

His research focuses on the use of artificial intelligence in the public sector. 

Benjamin graduated from the University of Liège in 2017 (specializing in business law) and holds an LL.M. in European Competition Law and Market Regulation from the University of Amsterdam.

Prior to joining the LCII, he worked at the European Commission (DG GROW), the European Parliament and the European Court of Justice.
