Biography
Christophe Deprez holds a Master's degree from the University of Liège Law School, an LL.M. in Public International Law from the University of Amsterdam, and a Ph.D. from the University of Liège. He has also studied law at Maastricht University, at the University of Glasgow and at the Irish Center for Human Rights, NUI Galway. He was from October 2011 to September 2015 a Research Fellow of the Fund for Scientific Research, Belgium. Christophe is now an Associate Professor at the University of Liège Law School. He is also a visiting professor at the University of Lille and at Aix-Marseille University. From January to July 2016, Christophe was a visiting scholar at Columbia Law School, New York. His fields of interest include international criminal law, humanitarian law and human rights law. He was until December 2021 an attorney at the Brussels bar (Jus Cogens law firm).
